Entry into the labour market

A citizen of the EU/EEA and Switzerland or his or her family member does not need an Employment Permit, employee card, blue card or an internally transferred employee card to be employed in the territory of the Czech Republic.

Family members of a European Union citizen who are not citizens of the European Union themselves may enter the labour market without an Employment Permit, employee card, blue card or internally transferred employee card if they have obtained a temporary residence permit in form of a residence card for family members of a European Union citizen issued by the Ministry of the Interior, or if they can prove (by a record in the travel document, by an official confirmation) that an application for temporary residence permit for family members of a European Union citizen in the territory of the Czech Republic has been submitted.
